Freelance Doodler & Learner of Things
Annie started her career as a freelance print & pattern designer for independent British brands in 2016, with a heavy focus on Childrenswear and whimsy characters. Annie's work often draws influence from her own life as a mother to daughters, a dog and two cats as well as her general love for bright and bold things. Annie thrived in this domain and rapidly grew to create ready-to-print designs for numerous brands.
Following on from her success in this field, she felt that she had taught herself into a corner and chose to explore further artistic disciplines and techniques. Annie took on a part-time role in retail to feed her love of people and gain a better understanding of consumer interests and purchasing - of which she undertook for a year alongside her freelance career.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Annie no longer works in employment and decided to seek out a new path of exploration and in September 2020 she chose to pursue an education in the Arts and began to study for her Foundation Diploma in Art and hopes to follow on with a Bachelors degree in Illustration.
